Samuel Augustín

Asset Information Management & BIM

He has worked on every part of the building life cycle, from design through construction to operation and growing the value of the asset. He brings hands-on experience in building construction, building services (MEP) and facility management. He sees construction as a set of interlinked processes where everything connects to everything else; he moved into building information management and BIM because it mirrors that complexity – from a single position it lets him look into every life-cycle phase at once. He studied BIM engineering at VŠB-TU Ostrava and environmentally advanced buildings at BUT Brno.

He specialises in setting information requirements and in producing, verifying and handing over information under ISO 19650. He advocates openBIM and open standards, IFC above all. Holder of the buildingSMART Professional Certification – Foundation.

Marek Augustín

Facility Management & Commissioning

He has spent more than twenty-five years in the operation of commercial real estate – office, retail and logistics buildings across Central Europe, Germany and the United Kingdom. At HB Reavis he led an international team of facility managers for eleven years and was responsible for taking over newly completed buildings, setting up their operation and preparing them technically for the sale of occupied assets. Having both prepared building services and run them long-term, he knows precisely what a project underestimates and what that later costs in operation.

He covers building operation in its full breadth – from setting up operational processes, tenders and supplier management through audits of operational effectiveness and energy management to training FM teams. At handover he oversees, on the client's behalf, the course and evidencing of building services testing and the takeover of the related documentation.
